On Sunday, 2nd October 2022, by 7:57a.m ET, Coinbase halted U.S transactions from its customers. Coinbase announced a bug that stopped United States accounts of customers from buying, depositing and withdrawing assets.
Also, according to Coinbase, “We are currently unable to take payments or make withdrawals involving U.S. bank accounts,” Coinbase said in the statement. “Our team is aware of this issue and is working on getting everything back to normal as soon as possible.”
Subsequently, Coinbase told the public they were investigating the issue after the first notice. The crypto exchange said that they identified the issue and were fixing it.
Throughout the time, however, customers could buy crypto assets through PayPal or debit cards.
Also, Solana faced the same issue last weekend. The network went through a “major outage” for over six hours before they fixed it.
In our opinion, when there are such issues on blockchain exchanges and wallets, do not panic. It may just be one of those downtimes in the network. You can always trust that we will give you the latest news by subscribing to our newsletter.
