How to Set up Your Exodus Wallet

• Open the app and choose the Backup tab on the left.
• The application will prompt you to set a password. Choose one that has numbers, letters, and special characters. Then, click on Next.

• Input your password again and click on Next
• You will notice 12 empty fields. Hover your pointer over each one to see each word that makes up your private key. Record these words in their order and save them. Click on Next.

• Verify which of the words displayed on your screen is part of the 12-word private key you just saved. Then, please select it and click on Finish.

Install and synchronize a second Exodus wallet on a computer

• Download and install the application you need.
• When you want to launch the app, there is a button Restore from backup on the main tab (Home). Click on it.

• You will get a prompt asking if you want to restart the application. Answer yes, and the app will tell you to input your 12 secret words.

• Enter the secret words and validate everything. After a while, the synchronization will be complete.

Install and launch Exodus on your smartphone

• Open the Exodus download page, and locate the Mobile section with two links, as seen in the photo below. Then, click on the option that corresponds to your smartphone.

• After installing the app, open it, and there will be no prompt for a password, username, or account.

Receive payments in Crypto with Exodus for smartphone

• Go to the first tab with the wallet icon.

• Choose from the list the crypto for which you want to receive a payment and the address you want to know.
• When you see your crypto, open it, and check the current price, the amount you have, and the corresponding dollar value.
• You will see an icon with a down arrow on the right side. Tap on it to receive your crypto.

• You will notice a line with many characters. The characters will be your public key or address for the particular cryptocurrency. Usually, it is like the IBAN for your regular bank account. There will also be a QR code. If you want to receive payments in this crypto, provide this address to the sender.

• Copy and paste this address to send to the sender of your funds. Click on your address to copy it.
• Paste the address wherever you need it.
• You can repeat these operations for any crypto through which you want to receive your payments.

Send payments in cryptos with Exodus for smartphone

• Select the Wallet tab with the wallet icon.

• Next, choose from the list the particular crypto with which you want to make the payment. If the crypto is not on the list, click the +Add More button and add the missing crypto from the new screen.
• After choosing your crypto, you will see the number of that crypto you have and the corresponding dollar value.
• On the left side, there is an icon with an arrow going up. Tap on this link to send this crypto.

• Click the zeros (0.00) and type in the amount you want to send. Tap Half to send 50% of all your funds for this crypto or All to send everything. Confirm the amount by pressing Done.

• In the bottom field, enter the destination address by copying and pasting.
• Press Next. You will see a confirmation screen. Slide your finger from left to right to validate the sending of the funds.

Secure your wallet with Exodus for smartphone

• Create a password by going to the third tab (Profile) at the bottom of the screen, then go to Security, then Secure with a Passcode.

• Select a 6-digit password, and repeat it.
• Recover your 12-word private key by going to the third tab (Profile) at the bottom of the screen, then Security, then recovery Phrase. Tap on View Recovery Phase
• You will see a series of 12 lines with dotted lines. Keep your fingers on Press and Hold to Reveal to display your 12 secret words. Save them somewhere and keep them a secret. Then, arrange them in their order.

• First, Download and install the application.

• When you want to launch the app, you will see the message “I already have a wallet” or “Create a new wallet.” Select “I already have a wallet.” If the option is not there, go to the third tab (Profile) at the bottom of the screen. Go to Settings, then Restore wallet.
• Choose the option Restore from Backup and enter your 122 secret words. You could also use the QR code.
• After a while, the system will synchronize all your applications.
