How to Set up Your KuCoin

In this tutorial, we will be showing you how to set up your KuCoin crypto exchange account. Generally, crypto exchanges are essential requirements for trading digital assets, especially at their current scale.

People consider some exchanges the best because of their competitive prices or speed. Others are regarded as such because of their specialized financial products. For KuCoin, it is seen as one of the best crypto exchanges because it offers full access to a comprehensive library of altcoins at low fees.

 

 

How To Set Up A KuCoin Account

Step 1

First, visit www.KuCoin.com. Check to confirm that you are on the right website.

At the top right of your screen, you will see the blue Sign Up button. Click on it, and you will see a screen showing KuCoin’s terms of use. After you have read and accepted them, you can go on to the next registration process step.

Step 2

Next, you will see the Sign-Up screen. Enter your email address and password. Ensure that your password has capital and lowercase letters. Also, have a record of this information just in case you forget your password.

When you have entered the accurate information, click Next. You will see a new screen instructing you to verify your account. To verify, check your email inbox for a message named KuCoin account validation. Check your spam or junk mail folder if this email is not in your inbox.

Click on the link in the email to verify and activate your account. After this, you will be signed in automatically.

You must complete a KYC form to activate your account fully. To fill out this form, you need proof of identity: an ID card, passport, or driving license. You also need to have Google Authenticator on your mobile device. You will also be asked to provide other personal information. To do all these, check the menu on the left side of your screen. You must complete the KYC authentication form before you begin trading.

Step 3

The Google 2-Step will show you a screen where you will be given a 16-character secret key. The key will be in a bright red font at the center of your screen. It would be best if you backed up this key in a safe place, especially offline. Please, do not share your secret key with anyone.

When you have your secret key, download the Google Authenticator to your device from your preferred store. To do this part, you must use your mobile device.

First, install the app from your computer. A notification will pop up on your mobile device asking you to confirm that you wish to download the app. Click Yes, and the app will begin to install on your phone.

Step 4

After installing the app, scan the 2D code on your computer screen, or provide a 6-digit authentication code from the app so that you can verify your account. You do not need to note these 6-digit codes because the authenticator will keep generating new ones as the occasion demands. This pattern is to make sure your account is safe.

When you have completed this step, your screen will change, and you will see a message instructing you not to uninstall Google Authenticator to protect your account.

After you have completed all these steps, you should be ready to use the exchange. However, it may take a few days for KuCoin to process your KYC information. Before this is done, interacting with the account may not be easy.
